About

Tapping into your personal potential, making an effort to help others, finding inner peace – these are ALL pieces in the puzzle of surviving on this planet.
“By means of meditation we can teach our minds to be calm and balanced; within this calmness is a richness and a potential, an inner knowledge which can render our lives boundlessly satisfying and meaningful. While the mind may be what traps us in unhealthy patterns of stress and imbalance, it is also the mind which can free us. Through meditation, we can tap the healing qualities of mind.”

Ron’s Bio
Ron Rink is retired from a long career as a commercial banker and as a CFO for a large Vermont school system. Since his retirement he has been active as a teacher, an author, and an Internet Marketer.
Many years ago Ron discovered that at his most basic level, he was a pacifist. Even though he grew up as a tough “street-kid/runaway” on the streets of Detroit — even though he was a leader in a large street gang — even though he fought in a war — it was during that wartime leadership experience that he discovered, that for him, violence was not a workable solution to problems, and that peaceful solutions were much stronger and more lasting.
His studies in pursuit of that elusive inner peace have led him to follow the teachings of some of the great teachers of eastern philosophies who teach with a western point of view. Ron is also a practicing Buddhist.
His writings for this blog will be from that inner-peace point of view with the aim of helping the readers of this site find the peace within each of them by learning to live in the Present.
