Affirmations for Life
“It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.”~~~ Muhammad Ali
The words we speak — and the words we think — they are so important to the life we create for ourselves.

There is a strong tendency for people to dwell on words and thoughts that are negative in nature. They start their days with negativity and carry that theme in their words and thoughts throughout the day. They tell themselves and others that they are doomed to fail, not good enough, or not worthy of love, yet they are amazed when their reality starts reflecting those same thoughts and words. This is true because our subconscious mind accepts these words and thoughts as truth — as affirmations — even though they are negative.
Affirmations are statements chosen and spoken consciously. Once they enter our realm of consciousness, they also enter our subconscious mind where they have the power to change our lives. There is no better reason than this to make our spoken words and our thoughts — our affirmations — positive.
The use of affirmations in our everyday lives is a great way to bring more of what we truly desire into our existence. The affirmations you create should be specific, not too long, worded positively, formed in complete sentences, and spoken in the present tense as if what you are affirming is already true. It is a good idea to repeat your affirmations daily. You may want to tell yourself that you deserve to be happy or that you are in control of your destiny. Rather than telling yourself you want to be well-liked, say, “I am well-liked.” Strive to make your words and thoughts positive rather than negative.
“Belief consists in accepting the affirmations of the soul; unbelief, in denying them.”~~~ George Eliot
Your subconscious mind will pick up on these positive messages, and you will begin to see changes happen in your life to reflect your affirmations. Your reality will begin to reflect your affirmations. If you find that you are slipping back into a pattern of negative thinking, try repeating your affirmations several times a day. Write your affirmations down and say them aloud or in your mind. Allow your conviction to grow stronger each time you say your affirmations, and your negativity will be overridden by your motivation and positive thoughts.
Affirmations are a powerful tool for creating our reality. Anytime we have a thought or a feeling, we are sending a request to the “universe” about what you want to create in your life.
The following as an affirmation that I use every day …
“I am at peace with the world, with myself and everyone in it.”
… and …
“I am thankful for being at peace with the world, with myself and everyone in it.”
“If I have been of service, if I have glimpsed more of the nature and essence of ultimate good, if I am inspired to reach wider horizons of thought and action, if I am at peace with myself, it has been a successful day.”~~~ Alex Noble
