Hi Ron.

I'm Whitby_Bob from Twitter. Followed your web site link to here and to WeCould2 as well. Read both meditation pieces with much interest. I've been adopting meditation as a daily practice but just can't seem to put the time to aside. I felt if I could get more info, perhaps I would discover some compelling motivational factors that would get me going. That led me to join a few Ning sites iPeace (as you know), iPower (still not sure about hat one) and Look Again Meditation. I posted a a question about meditation in several places and received a really good reply on the Meditation site. However, your pieces here went much further to convincing me it is worth the time investment. Also, your site led me to Holosync and I've ordered the demo for that ...sounds like just the thing for a beginner.

Thanks very much Ron. See you on Twitter.

Peace.

Craig, I agree. The more people that can become aware of the fact that they CAN make choices about what they are willing to accept into their lives, the better of our world will be. As Dr. Jill points out so beautifully in her book, "There is nothing more empowering than the realization that I don't have to think thoughts that bring me pain." (p.147) ... And ... "I alone decide if something will have a positive or negative influence on my psyche." (same page) Of course, the book repeats this concept over and over. If it doesn't feel good, whether it's a thought or a circumstance, we have the power to make the choice not to include it in our lives.

Thanks for the comment.

I read "My Stroke of Insight" in one sitting - I couldn't put it down. I laughed. I cried. It was a fantastic book (I heard it's a NYTimes Bestseller and I can see why!), but I also think it will be the start of a new, transformative Movement! No one wants to have a stroke as Jill Bolte Taylor did, but her experience can teach us all how to live better lives. Her TED.com speech was one of the most incredibly moving, stimulating, wonderful videos I've ever seen. Her Oprah Soul Series interviews were fascinating. They should make a movie of her life so everyone sees it. This is the Real Deal and gives me hope for humanity.
